- El Mirador de Merindades (Merindades's Viewing-point) is a charming village guest house, a dream made reality. We love this land and therefore we have done our utmost in its construction, furnishing and decoration. Our is that, through its colours, textures, scents, sounds and details you may discover tempting sensations related to rural tourism, history and art.
- The House
- The house has seven double en suite rooms (one of them suitable for disabled guests); the showers are equipped with hydro massage. Two of the rooms have a living area overlooking the garden. The common zones: lounge, dining room and library, are furnished with fine woods and decoration. Our garden growing fruit-bearing trees, aromatic window boxes and lawn is ideal for relaxing. Free WIFI is available.
- The zone
- The house is located in a small village Montejo de San Miguel (provincial prize for heritage conservation), containing several 18th century stone buildings. The village is located in Valle de Tobalina (Las Merindades), within the Parque Natural de Montes Obarenes (protected nature environment). A location where the charm of tradition joins the beauty of nature.
We are surrounded with mountains, beside the river Ebro, 3 km away from the medieval city Frías and 20 km away from Oña (future headquarters of the religious art exhibition “Las Edades del Hombre” 2012)
Culture is also present in this charming place where you can admire both an Ethnographic Museum and an Agricultural Machine Museum.
